"Ok for a holiday"

Alot of negatives to this town. Cost of living is very high. IGAs are very expensive to shop at. Alot of items costing 3-4x what they do in a Woolworths or Coles. Very poor medical system (Tas as a whole). The local hospital has very limited capabilities, needed to go there once and was seen in the carpark as there wasn't enough staff (very odd reason I know) also no maternity unit so anything maternity related you have to travel at least to Launceston which is 2 hours away. If you're likely to have a baby it will be in the local ambulance like my partner had to do as they take you to Launceston. Locals are bizarrely odd in that they will not even acknowledge you exist if you aren't in their "circle". The school is very limited, the primary school is all joined classes like 1/2 and 3/4 so for their first years which are their most important they are limited to either doing school work to advance for them (in the lower grade) or having to repeat the previous years work (in the higher grade). Limited work possibilities as the only industries are tourism and fishing/oysters. It's a beautiful place but strongly wouldn't recommend moving here unless you are retired. Alot of drug users also.
