Hillsdale

"Want the Eastern Beaches lifestyle without the price tag-look no further."

A tiny suburb bordered by Pagewood, Maroubra and Matraville.
Consists mainly of 1960's redbrick unit blocks, but a great suburb for affordability.
Definitly a must look for the first home buyer as it is close to beaches, parks, transport and cafes without the price tag of Coogee or Bondi.
The downside is it does have small pockets of bad areas but my advice is to research the areas, speak to the locals or walk the streets to get a feel.
lack of on street parking can also be a downside but Bondi and Coogee also have this problem.
Mainly consists of families, professionals, studnets and people of different cultures and close to a small shopping centre which is a great alternative to fighting ques at Eastgardens.
