Redan

"Tree Lined Suburb right next to Ballarat CBD"

I've lived in Redan for two years now having moved from Melbourne for a more peaceful life and to continue my career in Information Technology. Many of the streets are tree lined and lovely, with a mix of modern and old houses. It's got some great shopping close by with an array of supermarkets, restaurants, parks, schools and so much more. We love living here and will never go back to Melbourne. It's so quiet at night and the air is so fresh and particularly noticeable in comparison with Melbourne suburbs. It retains a country feel to it with all the conveniences you could possibly need and all within a short drive (with little to no traffic). There is some traffic at peak times but you're never stationery for too long. Redan is one of the better suburbs of Ballarat, and extremely great value when buying property which leaves huge upside in terms of investment. The state government has recently announced huge spend for a range of infrastructure and projects that will generate 1000's of jobs so the whole region is primed for considerable growth. We live right at the back of Victoria Park which is just superb for walking and bike riding. It's absolutely huge and has a small lake with fish, and we're just a small drive to Lake Wendouree. I would recommend Redan for families, retirees and couples. You'll love it!
