Goodna

"A Diamond in the rough"

We moved from Aspley to give Goodna a go....at first I wasn't keen but we have been here for 3 years now and are just about to purchase a home here. This suburb has changed a lot especially after the 2011 floods, a lot of people left and not to sound offensive to any one but I reckon they were the more undesirables of the community. We have had a few incidents where our vehicles were broken into but this type of act seems to happen much less frequent and will hopefully totally disappear. A lot of more professional type people are moving in we are lucky to be in the new subdivision of Cunningham Rise with great views of the Brisbane CBD and a cool windy breeze blowing up the rise. Goodna reminds me of a few suburbs back home in Auckland which for along time were undesirable but now with the influx on Good families and professional people we can't even afford to buy a home in these places now. What changes a suburb from undesirable to desirable is when the families living there buy there homes instead of renting that is when a suburb becomes a community of people that care about each other and the homes they own, just my thoughts.
