I have lived in an apartment on Upper Lancaster Rd for the past 5 years and really enjoy the whole package. The Ascot lifestyle is great and definately one of the better places to live in Brisbane. By car you are very close to both the Gateway Motorway and Inner City Bypass, Clem 7 and Airport link tunnels which makes getting to other parts of Brisbane quick and easy. All facilities are close; the post office (with really friendly staff), local shops and a couple of really nice cafes are an easy walk away. I find other people in the neighbourhood friendly (my apartment block neighbours are great; we have a real sense of community!) and there are plenty of kids around who seem to enjoy it (I understand many families live here so their children can attend the Ascot State School). The street is quiet, no doubt helped by the ubiquitious traffic calming!! Altogether, a great street in a great suburb.
