Dee Why

"Great for the beach but needs improvment"

In my short experience of living in Dee Why I have been very happy being so close to the beach for the reason that I love surfing. There are heaps of shops nearby and plenty of restaurants and eateries within walking distance. I guess what disappoints me the most is the amount of 'ferals/bogans' still living in the area causing the occasional problems. I am unfortunately situated right next door to a government housing building which has resulted in loss of possessions due to crime generated from the occupants. Safety is a bit of a concern as the weekend nights see a lot of these people roaming the streets looking for trouble. With a bit of luck in a few more years the government will have re-positioned many of these people and will allow dee why to flourish into a wonderful place to live. Having said this Dee Why in general is already a good place to live but for such a good location I feel it has a bit of a way to go before I'd call it one of the best places to live.

Cheers
