Northern end of Bambra Road starts at Caulfield Park, running perpendicular to Balaclava Road. The park has good amenities with tennis courts, bowls, numerous ovals, and a childrens playground. There is also good public transport access at this end of the street with the number 3 tram travelling along Balaclave Road.
The northern end of the street has many larger homes with some original Edwardian and Bungalow homes surviving from the early part of last century. Unfortunately, like much of Caulfield, many of the the older homes that once graced the street have been demolished to make way for modern homes, typically devoid of character and charm.
As you travel south from the park you cross Glen Eira road and move from Caulfield North to Caulfield South. Again some nice Bungalow homes exist in this stretch of th street, although not as large as those further north. The next major street crossing in Glenhuntly Road which is also serviced by the tram network.
Beyond that the road contionues down to North Road at which point it becomes Thomas St and continues onto Brighton. Not much of note at this end of the street, although it passes Princes Park which, thanks to an injection of capital from the Glen Eira Council recently, is now a nice enough public space.
