"Best Kept Secret"
I have lived in Regents Park for about 4 years. We had an opportunity to buy in other areas including Forest Lake, but ultimately we decided that Regents Park was a much better option. When we decided to sell our first house in Regents Park for a larger block for our big dogs, we looked far and wide from Redbank/Springfield to Munruben/Greenbank. We found a large block in Regents Park which was just perfect. Let's face it....we have soooo many amenities at our fingertips, literally within walking distance. We have everything from doctors, new car dealerships, the Greenbank RSL, Grand Plaza, & Village Square to more random amenities like the rollerskating, an aquatic centre, and rock climbing! Not to forget the beautiful stretch of bikeway and creek! It's crazy how much is on offer in Regents Park. When I think of all the people who pay a fortune to live somewhere like Paddington yet it's got barely any amenities, only pretentious dress shops & cafes! lol
I work near the CBD but I know that with all the commercial development happening in the region (eg. Logan Link) it will only attract more business and facilities and more people. In a year or so when the developments are finished I will look at working closer to home.
We've never had any issues with crime at Regents Park and sometimes on the weekend I catch a late bus home from the city and walk home in the dark but I've never felt unsafe.
I would definitely recommend Regents Park. It's got more bang for ya buck than most suburbs in Brisbane and surrounds!
