Southport is slowly being rejuvenated. New apartments, townhouses and stylish houses going up in between the traditional fibro 1950 shacks.
The suberb is gaining in many areas. The amount of tennants are reducing young families and young professionals are taking over. The people are friendly and are always greeting you with a smile and "Hello". I have lived in Southport for 12 months now and do not look like moving.
