"Paradise revisited on the beautiful Sunshine Coast"

Dicky beach is no doubt paradise for the over 50's, having said that it also a great place to bring up your children. The white sandy beaches are patrolled summer and winter. Best time to visit is from April to October. November through to March can still be very beautiful if you don’t mind the high humidity. The rain during this period keeps the place lush and green and us locals love it. The walking tracks are all within easy reach from Dicky beach to Moffat, Shelly and Kings beach. These tracks are amongst the best in Australia, well maintained with easy access to our magnificent beaches. There are some great lookouts where you may spot a number of surfers in the rolling waves. There are some excellent restaurants in the area all within the 15 minute walk. The Dicky beach area offers great living and holiday accommodation far away from the madding crowds. The area has a number of groceries stores with a few local shops such a butchers, restaurants, takeaways, bottle shop, hairdresser, Chemist and news agent with a local post office only a stone throw away. The other things I like about Dicky beach is the village atmosphere, buzzing during the day and it offers peace and Quiet after dark. The larger towns and the airport are all within the 20 minutes drive from Dicky beach. The local busses run every 15 minutes which is an extra bonus. There is a huge shopping plaza in Maroochydore, although I prefer to go to Caloundra markets and its shops, that is a real buzz on the Sundays and less than a 10 minute drive. Come and visit our beautiful region, tell a friend about your Dicky beach experience, but please do not tell the world let's keep this place that way it is. "Absolutely fabulous"!. That is my reason for wanting to live here.
