Lakemba

"A nice place to live and convenient"

I just bought a unit in Lakemba, it's the cheapest closest suburb to the city. It has a train station so fast trains to city and other inner west stations on the way, Marrickville dulwich hill etc. It's very multicultural and good value for money. The place isn't dirty and is relatively quite. I have not seen any violence or even indications of crime?! There are a lot of religious people here so there appears to be less drug addicts or drinkers. Very Close to other suburbs like Strathfield, Rhodes and still 30 minutes drive to beach. I would recommend this area to buy and live if you work in the city and still want to be close to the inner west! Suburbs like Campsie and Belmore are starting to go through the gentrification process. Lakemba will follow eventually prices will go up even more, it's just a matter of time.

Who lives here?

  • Professionals
  • Families with kids

I do not think Campsie is going through the gentrification process, but in saying that there is nothing wrong with Campsie either. It is a good suburb close to the CBD.
