I'm a 27 year old Melbourne boy and have lived in Subiaco for the past 2 years. I've seen many, many suburbs in Melbourne along with many suburbs during my time in Perth and Subiaco ranks at number 1 for me. It's super clean - I'm always seeing the Subi council doing work and maintaining the lovely parks, you're close to the City - and a walk to the pubs and cafes on Rokeby road and Lords fitness club is a friendly and fun place!
The parks are a real winner for me, the Subi centro park is an absolute sanctuary. It's got the beautiful large pond for the ducks and the dog exercise area where the cute little dogs have their daily catch-ups. To sum it up; the parks have doggy poop bags - not too many suburbs use this initiative to keep the place clean and tidy!
