"Affordable beach life"

I lived here in previous years and moved back a year & a half ago.
It has affordable beach location apartments which is predominantly popular with young families & professionals & everyone in between.
It’s a beautiful area on the beach side when you get to the front there are restaurants & bars, now the area has been redeveloped towards Pittwater Road side I can see that the area will continue to improve.
It’s only half hour on the express bus to the city before 7am and circa 45-50 min after this time.

The down sides are: too many apartments have recently just been built which is crowding this once quite area increasing the traffic along with bus queues.
The place is looking more modern, however, starting to look ugly like most high rise areas. It’s annoying how builders are allowed to build so high and so many concrete blocks - as if anyone who has the option would want to live in a giant complex with thousands of others 😡 #greedybuilders

Crime: certainly safer than for example the West as no shootings etc, but I did get my meal delivery stolen the other night 5 min after it was dropped off. Also a lot of theft of motorcycles including in secure apartment buildings & there are photos of female post thieves in most apartment post rooms.

Overall: nice area with higher theft rates but low other typical crimes.
Close to the beach, shops, restaurants, bars & gyms.
Good for families if you don’t mind apartment living and having thousands of others sometimes in the same complex.
More affordable than most northern beaches suburbs and on a fast bus lane.
