Northcote

"Something for everyone"

I lived in Northcote for 5 years prior to moving to Woodend. I missed the place so much I returned 3 years later (minus a husband!) Northcote has so much to offer, its close to the city, and connected to the rest of Melbourne with great public transport and road access.

If you want to stay close to home for entertainment, there are a number of great bars on High St - Open Studio and Northcote Social Club in particular! The thriving eateries on Lygon St in Brunswick East are close too!

For families, there are great parklands and Merri Creek and Darebin Creek are so close for nature lovers.
I dont have kids, but there are many good schools to choose from. And the streets are friendly. Neighbours bring in the bins and collect mail for each other. People greet each other on the street and dogs play together in the parklands.

Sumner Estate has great californian bungalows. There are lots of gorgeous little terraces abound. There could be better street trees though, the streets don
