Gnarwarre
"The "G" is silent!"
Gnarwarre is a quiet, rural hamlet at the western end of the Barrabool Hills. Still made up mainly of small farms, there have been an increasing number of even smaller holdings 2-100 hectares developed as owners capitalize on old titles.
Gnarwarre is within fifteen minutes of Belmont, Highton,Winchelsea, Bannockburn and Moriac.
It has a bus to local school and public tennis courts.
There are some very pleasant spots to visit along the Barwon River accessible by bike, short car journey or a brisk walk.
Great for
- Quiet, but close to Geelong. Ten minutes from the Ring Road. Forty-five minutes from Lorne and thirty from Torquay and Anglesea.
Not great for
- Regarded as on the outer fringe of Surf Coast Shire boundary and generally left to its own devices.
Who lives here?
- Professionals
- Families with kids
- Retirees
- Country Lovers
