Mount Barker just 30 minutes up the freeway from Adelaide cbd is a perfect in between city suburbs md country feel. You have the convenience of shops that close late, reliable public transportation, excellent cafes, a cinema, good schools, lots of parks and walking tracks, sports facilities ect.

The newer estates are better maintained than the older parts of the town, but overall the area is cleaner and quieter than its city suburb counterparts. The area is perfect for families, retirees and professionals alike. You can’t really go wrong.

Some thing that are missing for me is a larger shopping centre, bussses that go through the different estates and nightlife.
