We have just moved in to Newington in the last 4 weeks, and whilst it wasn't a big move from Concord we were worried about the whether it would be as good as Concord. Whilst it doesn't have the dining options that the main strip on Concord does, it is an amazing suburb and we love it.

The people are friendly, the houses are lovely, and the facilities are perfect. Whilst Woolworths at Newington is probably better off as a small shop destinations, Rhodes and Top Ryde are only 5 minutes drive away when you are wanting to do a big grocery shop. Having a small selection of shops also means that you can always get a parking spot at the local shops which is a big plus!

There is nothing my husband and I love more than taking our dog for a walk on one of the many walking tracks both within Newington and out in Sydney Olympic Park. There is a plethora of parks and playgrounds in and around Newington that keep the kids completely happy and occupied. Having easy walking access to Sydney Olympic Park is also a massive positive when there are events such as sport or the Easter Show on as it is a massive savings for parking costs. Whilst the down side is that some visitors to the area park in Newington for events to also avoid the cost of parking.

Now that we live in Newington I can not recommend it enough and would encourage anyone thinking of buying here to make the leap and move here!
