"Great if you like period homes in quiet streets without the big pricetags in Surrey Hills"
I've lived here since 1994 in a lovely street (alexander street) which is comprised of a mix of victorian, edwardian and californian bungalow style homes. It's a nice quiet street with wonderful neighbours. Facilities are excellent, though I prefer to walk to the central area as parking can be tight during busy times. In fact, most facilities in my area are well within walking range. A wonderful choice of mainly asian restaurants and good shopping mean I don't leave this suburb for very much. We've never experienced any crime in all of our time here. There's a great choice of good schools locally. For working people, you'll find that due to it's central location in melbourne, you don't really have to commute too far. I wouldn't really consider moving from here unless I was leaving Melbourne altogether. You will also find it very easy to sell your home, all properties are generally auctioned and don't hang around on the market for too long (unless the price is wrong)
