We moved to Mortlake two years ago and it has been our best move. It is a picturesque suburb along the river with great views. Whilst there are still a few large commercial buildings on the way in to the suburb most have vanished as the years go by.

It is very affordable in comparison to neighbouring suburbs Concord and Breakfast Point but with access to much of the same amenities. It has always been a very quiet and peaceful suburb with friendly neighbours who say hi as you pass them in the morning.

We were initially unsure about the move mostly because the selling prices are lower than surrounding suburbs - however this has been the best decision we have made. We get to enjoy all the views Breakfast Point has as it is only a short walk away at a fraction of the strata costs. Whilst we don't have access to a pool or tennis courts - I think it is a small price to pay.

Furthermore, parking and traffic has been quite easy and we feel very central to most parts of Sydney with the M4 just off concord road.

After moving 4 times in Sydney in the past ten years - this has been the most comfortable we are.
