Bland Street

"This street doesn't live up to its name, definitely not a bland street to live in."

During fishers ghost festival it gets very busy, the carnival is painfully loud, and part of the street is closed off for about 5 hours the nights when the fireworks are set off. We moved because of the break ins, the dramas which usually ended up up in the police being called. The street is very narrow and can be a bit of a squeeze getting a larger vehicle down to the end. If the gate is closed at the bottom of the street it is hard to turn around. Rents are pretty steep for the kind of housing available, On the plus side, the pool, shops, public transport and the CBD are within walking distance.

Great for

  • Close to shops, public hospital and transport
  • Close to pool
  • During the week very quiet during the day.

Not great for

  • Crime, Noise and a lot of inconvenience during festivities and carnivals.
  • Trafic can be tricky on weekends

Who lives here?

  • Singles
  • Families with kids
  • Retirees
  • Students
