Murarrie

"Great suburb for anyone"

We've lived in Murarrie for over 5 years, having downsized and bought a townhouse in Park Hill Estate. We're close to everything - shops are at Cannon Hill and the bus and train are about 10-15 minutes walk away. Park Hill Estate has many natural bush parks with tall gum trees and is close to the river. Plenty of space for families to get together and kick a ball around or to go walk the dog down by the river. Its close to Bulimba and Hawthorne and Carindale shops. We often go to the theatre, so we leave the car at Cannon Hill station and are at Southbank in under 15 minutes by train. Its close to the Gateway Bridge so going to either coast is not a hassle. The only down side is that plane's can be a bit noisy from time to time depending on the scheduled approach - otherwise, its a quiet area. Older parts of Murarrie are being renewed which is good to see. Still some good affordable properties around on large blocks. The eastern suburbs of Brisbane are surprisingly cooler than the western suburbs (where we moved from) and there's generally a cooling sea breeze most days.
