Coolamon

"Progressive country town with all you need"

We moved here 6 months ago from the husle and bustle of city living. This little village has it all and only 30mins away from the largest inland city in NSW, Wagga Wagga, which has every industry including uni, agriculture, federal, state and local gov, retail etc.

In Coolamon itself there is probably the quaintist, most rustic coffee shop I've been to, Ajanta (and I've lived in a few capital cities and travelled), but it doesn't stop there, there are also other gorgeous little coffee shops, including the whistle stop cafe, the Bakery. There's a meduim size supermarket, great shops to meander through on a Saturday morning including Antique shops and old fashioned lollie shop. There is also a golf club, a little hospital, a museum, library, friendly pubs with evening meals, great schools, private and public, a wonderful swimming pool, skatepark, bushwalking tracks, a pony club...the list goes on.

The people are generally progressive, many of whom work at the uni or in town and there are many well educated farmers. There is every childcare option you may need making it a great place for families with loads of room and peace quiet. most Saturdays there is even an older guy riding his horse and cart through the street, a real novelty! This is truely a town that cares about its environment and its people.
