Arthur Terrace

"Plenty of parking,"

I have lived here for over 15 years.
Was a little concerned at first because it is a feeder Street but we soon learnt that there's only a little bit of traffic from around 7 till 8:30 and then again from 4.30ish till about 6.
After that you can hear a pin drop 100m away..in fact the cars are probably outnumbered by people walking, cycling, jogging or of course walking their dogs...
There's also a dog park just next to Broncos leagues club as well as the multiple play areas which was great for us when the kids were growing up.
It's wider than most streets around here so you're a good distance from the people across the road, not that that matters all that much because they are really great Neighbours living in beautiful homes.
There's lots of parking because most people use their own garages and so it's good if you have friends over there's always somewhere to park out the front.
It's very bike-friendly too.
You can just go couple hundred m down to the park and then follow the bike track all the way into the city and connect with the greater Brisbane bike pathways .
We are lucky because just a few doors up the road is an awesome coffee shop, art gallery and book shop, Broncos leagues club is just off arthur Terrace too.
the bus takes you from here direct into the city and ends up in Edward Street which is the heart of the Boutique upmarket fashion area if you're into that sort of thing.
But I like it because the bus stops literally at the end of the Queen Street mall.
Otherwise of course you just grabbing a rideshare and can be dropped off at King George square for around $10.

"A hidden Gem"

We have lived here for 17 years and absolutely love it.
It's not only very close to the city but you really only have to go 10 minutes to the west and you're on a country drive out to mount Coot-tha ,mount Nebo or even head Northwest and you have a beautiful country drive up to Dayboro.
It's soooo handy if you just want to take advantage of all the cheap parking on the weekends in the city and go in there to walk around the river , go to Southbank or just do that city stuff.
sometimes I ride my bike literally from just down the road all the way into the city by following the bike paths on the creek.
Got a pinch myself some time to think what this is just 3 1/2 k's from the city??
I'm not sure if it's because of covid or not but it does seem like a lot more people congregate and get talking to their neighbours at the small coffee shops that have popped up throughout the neighbourhood.
I haven't tried that new cinema yet but everyone tells me it's pretty good, I have to admit I don't want to go because I'll fall asleep..
It's a very safe neighborhood, as a family we would have walked thousands of kilometres around here and none of us have ever felt unsafe in doing so.
