Cuthbert Crescent

"Convenience, Convenience, Convenience"

Everything is handy living in Cuthbert Crescent, one of the best streets in Vincent. After renting in Cuthbert Crescent for many years, time came for our family to purchase a home. After many weeks inspecting properties all over Townsville, it became very obvious to us that we couldn't match or better the convenience of living in Cuthbert Crescent.
So many places we were able to walk to from Cuthbert Crescent - multiple shopping centres, child care centres, TAFE, primary and high schools, local scout group, tennis and basketball courts, parks, swimming pools, community hall and even dog training. Hubby only had to cross the road to meet up with mates at the Men's Shed. We could even have our car serviced by a car dealership and walk home.
Weather is beautiful one day and perfect the next for bike riding. We were always amazed that here we were living in such a convenient location where property prices were within first home buyers' reach yet the convenience was invaluable to every member of our family. A 20min leisurely bike ride could take us to work in town, The Strand to ride the Esplanade, Botanical Gardens or down to Ross River to ride the bicycle paths and visit the Palmetum.
The car was fuelled about once a month as it did come out - sometimes. Within a 10 min drive we could be at the Strand and Castle Hill to the east, Riverway, with it's magnificent trees and pool complex to the west, uni, hospital and army barracks to the south or hit the highway to Cairns to the north.
Our large corner block at the top of Cuthbert Crescent has a large yard with plenty of room for the kids and hubby to play with their toys. Our wide street and large yards gives residents, their visitors and their cars plenty of room to move and park. Being packed liked sardines in a new estate was no life for us. The houses here in Cuthbert Crescent are well built with wide eaves to protect the windows. Withstanding cyclones and a tornado, our home at 2 Cuthbert Crescent has stood the test of time.
