The uncouth fled this area of Umina Beach after us Sydney exiles pushed them out of the market during the battle of subprime. Our temporary land of exile became permanent, when we realised our holiday homes were placed in a nicer place/community than anything associated with Sydney.

Good old-fashioned capitalism won the day as usual. Socialism will take care of the remaining philistines, when the local bureaucrats raise property taxes to a level above that of the Newstart Allowance minus a VB stipend. The trusty steed of the bogan, otherwise known as a Commodore-on-bricks, will gallantly be repossessed to a Woy Woy street near you. That's not quite far enough, but it'll have to do for now.

Seriously, this area of Umina Beach is a hidden gem. So much so, that we should secede from Umina Beach and declare Greenhaven drive upwards a new suburb with Castle Circuit as the crown jewel. This isn't because Umina is bad... Quite the contrary. It's because Umina is great and the rampart area is fantastic.

I actually know my neighbours, leave the doors unlocked, feel safe at night and have pride in where I live. All those cliques that you look for in a great place.

If only Malcolm had let the socialists have one more win, by letting them finish their fibre NBN. Alas, he's got some kind of fetish for copper. Weirdo.
