Hendra used to be filled with post war houses, but these have been steadily knocked down over the past decade, and is now filled with high end new builds and large renovated properties. We have lived here for about 7 years and it’s a genuine neighbourhood with young families chatting comfortably with their older long term residents. I’m bewildered by the crime comments in this thread. As Hendra is zoned Res A, we have no apartments/ short term tenants. This is a pretty suburb with excellent public transport options, and a great neighbourhood vibe. Possibly the only negative is that while coffee shops are easy to find, you’ll need to go to Ascot/Hamilton or Nundah for restaurants.
