An excellent place to raise a family, good education facilities, heaps of sporting for young and old including golf, bowls, tennis, 4 football codes, olympic size swimming pool and a very competitve swimming club with entry fees half the price of Sydney, basketball, netball. crochet just to name a few. Shopping is adequate and also we look forward to visits to neighbouring towns such as Young, Orange and Bathurst and occasionally Sydney which is only 4 hours away by car. You can drive to and from work with no traffic delays, fuel costs are low as the trip is not overly long, no matter what side of town you live. It is a medium sized country town with all the amenities of most larger centres but with a personal touch.
