Hamilton Street

"what a beautiful street"

A wide tree lined street,, especially the Seddon end. Hamilton street feels like living in the country but with all the fabulous things the inner west offers. Seddon and Yarraville villages are very close and it there is a genuine mix of singles, families and older residents. Protected by a Heritage Overlay Hamilton street has an excellent streetscape and is very quiet. The street commands understandably high prices however it still presents excellent value given its amenity.

I rented in Hamilton Street from 1996-2001, and have been through it many times since, and it's a great place for just about anybody to live. Quiet street, a variety of periods and styles, and the convenience of 4 train stations, 3 shopping strips, 1 large shopping centre and many bus routes within 10-15 minutes walk. Neighbours were friendly, and you see the same faces at the local shops all the time. The Seddon shopping strip caters for most things (although the little supermarket isn't great), and public transport can get you to the city within 30 minutes inclusive of walking.

Creswick Street

"The worst speed humps"

Creswck street is well placed for all your needs, it has a great Milk bar at either end. However it has exceedingly noisy speed humps. They are such a poorly designed speed control that they encourage drivers to accellerate over and they create an almighty din!!!
