Gosling Street

"Great street to raise a family!"

Although it's called a street, there is really only one way in and one way out. That is via Old Bathurst Road. I guess this means there isn't a lot of through traffic. There is a bike track at the far end though and a few bike crews go there on weekends. The bike track itself starts at East Blaxland, at the top of the hill and is quite a downhill ride, so I've heard.
The street doesn't have gas but it does have cable access.
The local public school is excellent and there are a couple of day care services in the suburb, although you may need to get in early.
There is quite a bit of bush behind the western side of the street, which means that the local fauna may end up in your yard on hot summers days, usually snakes or lizards. And the train tracks are pretty close to the southern end. The nearest station is Emu Plains, at the bottom end of Old Bathurst Rd (about 20-30min walk).(This is also the location of the local Irish pub.)
There is a problem with white ants in the area, so regular checking is essential.
All in all, quite a good street for kids.
