Fairlight Street

"Nice street, close to all the good stuff."

Close to the Victoria Street train station. Close to plenty of local shops and parks. Some vey nice restaurants around but not many in the 'cheap' category. Leafy, with lots of verge trees, that comes with aggressive springtime magpies but that's not big deal. Only a short walk to the beach and maybe about a 15-20 minute walk to the river. I find that I don't really need to drive anywhere if I don't wont too.
Comes of the busy Stirling Hwy but doesn't get too much traffic.
Not many places to go socially but plenty nearby on the train. Some large flats in the area and quite a few small groups but generally a good mix. I actually don't see many people when I go walking/running so it seems very quiet considering the density. People are mostly nice and I've never experienced any problems after living here 2 years. Seems quite safe for kids. My son is comfortable walking to the large park down the road and it's generally full of kids from around the neighbourhood. All good so far.
