Henderson Street

"Has it all !!"

Shaws Bay in East Ballina really has it all! great beaches, walks, cafes and weather. Can't fault it.
So much to do and great townships all round. Shaws Bay is a quiet spot usually even in peak summer. The River is beautiful with wonderful walkways and the inlet provides great swimming for kids with picnic grounds. Nice little bit of bush there too. Love it.

"naturally beautiful and quiet"

Great village feeling, tucked away in rainforest. Plenty of interesting things to do in the area with beaches and Cudgen Lake a very short drive -swimming, plenty of birds to watch while kayaking in Cudgen Lake, entertainment and wide variety of shopping all close by. Best is only 20 mins up to Tweed and Coolangatta Airport.

Great for

  • Beautiful place
  • Peaceful
  • No traffic

Not great for

  • For nature lovers only

"Good country town that keeps getting better!"

Great place to live to be near gas and coal work opportunities. Good range of housing choices and good price range. Most houses on nice big blocks and most have rainwater tanks. Easy place to live with some nice local walks and parks. Close to the Bunya Mountains holiday area with stunning rainforests, giant bunya trees and quaint village. Dalby has adequate shopping with great health food shop, a good range of small retail and franchises/mall shopping. Wide range of pub food and coffee shops. Plenty of sport and good schools. Some flooding but Dalby came out of it pretty good compared to many other towns in Qld. Greens up lovely with rain, hot days, lovely nights.
