Couch Street

"Top little spot."

Quiet leafy street, homes being done up all around the area.
Good transport, excellent reserve (Parsons) and close to the city make Sunshine an attractive suburb to buy into. Still has its fair share of rough spots but as homeowners replace tenants then things are improving all the time. Been here two years and had no trouble at all and my house has risen $150,000 in that time.

Morris Street

"Sunshines going up....."

At least in the pockets between Koroit creek and Parsons reserve.
All the homes have been heritage listed meaning no sub-division, the reserve has a footy and cricket club, 3 tennis courts a gym and boxing club.
All 4 streets (Couch,Chapman Benjamin and Morris) are appreciating rapidly in value and the tenants are being replaced by homeowners.
10kms from the City and less than $500k gets you a 3/4 bed Californian or double fronted Victorian home.
The Train stations still a death trap at night but is due to be demolished and rebuilt - getting rid of the under-road tunnels that the scumbags hide out in.
All you see are homes being renovated.....a sure sign that sunshine is ever so slowly being a suburb on the rise.
