"Avoid it!"
Not worth your time. We travelled along the east coast of Australia and there is so many amazing places to see. Avoid Airlie Beach. It is not worth the time.
There is no atmosphere at the lagoon, which is the only place to swim.
The council is strict on enforcing rules and regulations.
Overall very unwelcoming.

What a load of crap. Airlie is one of the must see places on the Aussie east coast enjoyed by many thousands every year. Its a 4 day stay on anybodys itinerary. Wonderful catermaran trips to the Islands, great swimming in the beautiful lagoon and lots of pubs, clubs and restaurants. All in a gorgeous scenic setting. Dont miss Airlie on your trip north
