Make sure you research which part of Thornlands you are planning to live in as some areas have midgies (annoying sand flies that bite!).

Overall a safe area that feels very family friendly and would suit those who enjoy an active and simple lifestyle. It’s not suited to those who enjoy a faster cosmopolitan life as shops/cafes do not offer a modern or funky feel. Not a great deal of night life and the two main hubs Cleveland & Victoria Point feel outdated.

No westfield Shopping close by so need to travel to Carindale (25-30 mins) to shop for major brands.

Traffic is fine and easy to get around in (no idea why people complain!)

Takes about 40 minutes into the city so keep that in.
