"PENNANT HILLS... HAVEN OF TRAFFIC JAMS AND NOISE"

Having lived at Pennant hills for 2 years now i am ever so glad to be seeing it for the last time!
Constant traffic jams not able to go out on a weekend due to a backlog of traffic on pennant hills rd, constant traffic noise night and day, an obvious testing strip for traffic lights , trains running every 15 minutes and even worse at night is the freight trains.

Not sure if you were living in the same Pennant Hills as myself and my family! We travel in all directions at weekends and have no real problems. As for noise I suppose as with any of the suburbs with a main road and railway line, if you live close to it then there will be noise, I can only suppose you lived in one of the streets or units that are very close to these and would therefore surely have expected some transport noise.
I myself have lived in 2 separate areas in the suburb during the last 11 years and have many friends living through out the suburb, the people are friendly, crime is low ( police stats prove this ), transport options are second to none with services running to the city, beaches, the airport, Macquarie university and easy access to trains covering the whole of the east coast. There is a good range of childcare centres, a multitude of medical services directly in Pennant Hills, including, many GPs, Dentists, Diagnostic clinics, eye clinics, physiotherapists, chiropractors, Holistic therapists etc as well as 2 excellent major hospitals within 10/15 minutes drive ( and yes that is even travelling via Pennant Hills Rd in peak hour or weekend traffic). There is also much evidence to prove that there is still a steady and continued growth in house prices in Pennant Hills. So I am really surprised that you could put such low rankings for all any of these categories. It is very sad that you did not enjoy living here, but your rankings should be honest and a true reflection of the facilities etc however your comments box is for your own personal experience.

Couldn't agree more with Happy Homes. Not sure which Pennant hills the original poster lived... LOL.

I've been living here with family for the past 13 months and we LOVE it. This is one of the best places to live in.... great place to raise my 4 year old. The facilities are fantastic. from trains, buses, to accessibility to parks, restaurants, petrol stations, shopping center, bunnings, RTA and other amenities... you name it...its there.

someone said PH lacks a big shopping center.... i personally, think we don't need one. the streets are quite, one of the lowest crime rates etc... because PH is not too BIG or too small. Just perfect for what it needs. The current shopping center has everything except Myer, DJ, Target... we got Westfield for that. 5 minutes drive is Thornleigh shopping center... i am happy with that. :)

Perfect location for families with kids, professionals aiming for quite night and relaxing weekend.

Mate If you lived on Wongala Crescent I agree with the train noise. But rest of the Suburb is a heaven.
