St Kilda is one of those suburbs that everyone has an opinion on whether it’s the beautiful, the good, the bad or the ugly. But if you are looking to buy the areas that constitute St Kilda can be polar opposite, the streets and houses on the the Elwood side have Elwood vibe and command a similar price, similar to St Kilda West / Middle Park, you also have beautiful streets close to the beach vs the areas that feel and are closer to St Kilda Rd / St Kilda East and then there are a couple of streets that you just wish they would bulldoze and start again on! Overall, it’s surprisingly central and has been an amazing area to live in during Melbourne’s multiple 5km lockdowns.
