Marlyn Road

"Close to nature"

Marlyn Road is a mix of different styles of houses and housing. It is close to walking tracks and the mountain. Cold in winter, but then Hobart is a cold climate. There is a general pride in the area, with the rate of foliage growth in Spring, more frequent green waste collections by the council would be appreciated. There is a small hoon element, but no more than most areas. A good mix of ages. Not close to shops, but this is an asset as it cuts down on traffic and rubbish. Generally a quiet area, though it does get more than its fair share of windy weather.

Gosport Street

"Great place to live"

I lived in Gosport St for a number of years, during this time the area became quite popular, with a great ethnic mix. Friendly neighbours, close to all amenities. Near the main road and railway tracks but a quiet location. I regret selling my house.
