Box Hill

"Busy suburb, rich in culture"

Box Hill is known for its diverse culture and range of dining options. Along Carrington St, Station St and Maroondah Hwy there are several great places for food. Health services are easy to access, with both private and public healthcare centers located near the main shopping precinct. I can only think of 6 places off the top of my head, not to mention that health care areas on the top floors of both Box Hill centrist Public transport is also relatively easy, however congestion along Station St and Elgar Rd is very frustrating. It is also a great initiative to renovate Surrey Park and Box Hill Hospital, however the visual attractiveness of the new 'block' apartment is severely lacking, which is a great shame.
However, I enjoy going to the local parks which are great for families to have fun as well as for personal fitness purposes. Box Hill is also relatively safe at night time due to the absence of bars and pubs which are able to initiate alcohol fueled violence. The Box Hill library offers a reasonable place to study, or relax, but due to its recent popularity, the noise levels are quite high.
