Things have definitely changed a whole lot since I last lived here 13 years ago with lots of new homes, low crime rates vs surrounding suburbs and high employment. Got our house cheap while the stigma still keeps prices quite low but probably not for long as its got access to everything you need. Family likes the big block of land and parks. Was easy to rent out a room to a defence cadet who works across the road. Suburb is quiet despite very busy shopping and infrastructure around. Definitely undervalued and overlooked suburb that's way better than people who haven't lived here suggest.
