"Butler, a great quiet place to live, with your young family."
Bought here a few months back, lovely area, nice young families arround, park and shops close by - plus lakeside shopping centre 10minutes down the road, quick to get to the freeway and the beach isnt too far away. I must say this Butler is a lot better than people had lead me to believe, to be honest I was really put off by what other people had told be, however I went with my view, which has paid off.
Great for
- Parks and beaches
- Friendly family orientated
- Great community activities
Not great for
- Lack of couple things to do at night, have to head off to Joondalup etc.

Hi there, we are no longer moving to Butler, unfortunately buying isn't our forte right now so we're happily going to rent for a while until we settle in, looking to buy later on.
Having said that, we're much more at ease now... probably not the best thing to do heading over for the first time anyway!
We're looking to rent within 20mins of Perth and my fiance who is over there will be viewing a few properties next week, it all goes well we should be moving within 2-3 weeks! :)

Hi, can you tell me in your honest opinion how the situation is with Homeswest people??
We live in Sydney and are about to purchase our first home in Butler, but have been put off by all the comments made regarding the homeswest situation...
Are they mainly in a certain area? Street names would be appreciated, I believe the property we're looking at buying is classified as being in 'The Dunes"...
What Street are you in?
I need advise urgently as we are about to place a deposit... (or not)...
