I’ve been living in the area for the last 3 years. Lately, and honestly, it’s shaping up to be a fantastic suburb to live in. What really drew me in is how affordable it still is compared to other Melbourne areas, plus the spacious blocks and that nice, peaceful vibe you don’t often find closer to the city.

Commuting isn’t too bad either — the train station and Western Freeway make it pretty easy to get into the city or other parts of Melbourne.

But what’s really exciting is the recent approval of a new town centre in Rockbank. From what I’ve seen, this development is going to bring in shops, cafes, services, and plenty of community spaces. I think this will totally change the feel of the suburb, making it more vibrant and convenient without losing that laid-back atmosphere.
With all the infrastructure upgrades and this new town centre on the way, this suburb is finally getting the attention it deserves.
