Cherrybrook

"Alice in wonderland"

Lived there for for 5 years and always wanted to go back or want own a property in Cherrybrook one day.

If I could think of some bad things to say about Cherrybrook, it has to be the transport and traffic. The new line road is unbelievably busy all the time and not many public transports. If these 2 things can be resolved, I don’t mind spend my retirement life in Cherrybrook.

Strathfield

"Not as good as it used to be"

I think the demographics are changing from year on year, not just the age range but also where the people are originally from. I liked it once but not anymore...
But I can’t argue that Strathfield is the most convenient place in the inner west (as well as burwood).
I think it depends on what you want in life and what kind of life style you want. Strathfield is good for 9-5 professionals with a discounted quality of living conditions (areas closer to the train station)

Box Hill

"Depends on where you are"

Box Hill NSW is blooming and booming, some streets/communities are good and some are still underdeveloped.
The good thing is that this is in Hills Shire Council so you know that you’ll be in good hands.
But it will take at least another 5-10 years to look like Rouse Hill, if you are patient enough, you are investing for the next decade and not for today’s.
Don’t know if anyone has been the Gables, it’s a beautiful hand crafted community with lots of things going on.
I can’t speak for the ones that are outside of the Gables, but if you have visited Gables, you will be instantly in love with this community

Auburn

"A suburb that I wish I never lived"

How to put it.... growing up in Auburn was the most embarrassing thing and I would never tell people where I live. I lived in Auburn because I had no choice (lived with parents) and my parents just wouldn’t want to leave that place...
On a slightly positive side, at least I stayed in a house and was far away from the trash, the dirty things, the unpleasant streets and some people...
I hate the fact that I spent most of my life in Auburn.
This place has no security, has no culture (good culture)... In fact, although lived in Auburn for almost 20 years, I hardly checked out or visited the shops in Auburn because I hate this place!!!!!!

I lived in a middle class Sydney suburb for 16 years where neighbors who worked in finance, builders, electricians and some blue collar workers and I tell you, 2 kids out of 10 will be rubbish who's parents had a trade and white collar managers job so there is no fool proof you could end up buying in a wealthy suburb and there will be a kid or 2 who will scare and threaten your child.
