Cairnlea is an fantastic place to live. I grew up in the country and then moved to Melbourne and used to think I would always want to live near/directly in the city to be close to the nightlife etc. I even bought a small townhouse 5km to the city and lived there for nearly 5 years. Later I began to tire of the city though, the noise, traffic and not feeling so relaxed. Also I missed living in a more family area. I then began to look around for where I would buy after selling my townhouse. A friend had already had a place in Cairnlea for around 9 years so after deciding to buy in the West as its more affordable and newer I settled on Cairnlea.

I love how quiet it is, not much traffic around. The neighbours are all very friendly and wave to say hi. There are shops close by e.g Coles, pizza shop, chemist etc and if you want to go to a larger shopping centre highpoint is close. The only negatives I can think of is the internet here is not as fast as what I was used to closer to the city, public transport is not great but not much of a problem as I always drive and there is no nightlife but that is not why I decided to live here. Value for money here is great for the size of house you can get. I can see myself living here pretty much forever...
