Craigie is a hidden secret. We were looking for a place around Hillarys/ Mullaloo etc. and just went one suburb closer inland and found Craigie. So glad we did as it's a great location for so many things - 5 mins from beach, 5 mins to 2 large shopping complexes, inbetween 2 main stations, 20 mins to city, close to get up North and out to the Swan Valley etc. It's quiet however easy to access pubs etc. at Mullaloo, Joondalup, Mindarie, Leederville. We are seeing more and more young professionals moving here all the time as they realise it's excellent value for money. I think Craigie has a bad name for Perth locals due to the water treatment plant and that it is 'far away from the city' - only Perth locals would say this!! The water treatment plant has advanced in technology from many years ago and we live quite close to it and have not smelt it at all.
