Kaleen is convenient to Civic, Gungahlin, Mitchell and Belconnen.
Love the 15 minute bus to city (more if traffic is bad) or 25 min cycle. Three Primary schools and good local shops, heaps of parks... Houses are on nice big blocks but you might have to live in a small 1970's rectangle. Much prefer it to a McMansion in Gungahlin though, but that's just my view - each to their own. Have lived here for three years with absolutely no problems - very happy.
