Strathpine

"First Start"

We brought out first home in Strathpine mainly due to accessibility to the train. It's a long journey for a city based professional but the cost of houses is affordable and our neighbours are lovely. The local shopping centre is close by and it is easy to pick up savings at Aldi and walk next door to Coles for anything else. Lawnton Country Markets and Warburton Meats also are very reasonable. Good coffee however is a drive to Bold at Bald Hills or Cleanskin at Brendale. Our home was in excellent condition but if you need any renovations (or even livestock feed if you want chickens) with the industrial area of Brendale next door it's a breeze. The main park is amazing and there appears to be plenty of options for young families. I won't deny isn't a slightly rough area but I've never felt unsafe.

Great for

  • Reasonably priced
  • Great Parks

Not great for

  • Lack of good coffee

Who lives here?

  • Families with kids

My family and I have been looking to buy into the area and were concerned about the possible roughness, are there any particular streets /areas that you would suggest to avoid buying in ? Thanks in advance
