"Just moved to the area from Sydney's West"
The area of Watanobbi itself is fine but there is some influence from the neighbouring suburbs. There is a degree of under privileged residents in the older parts of neighbouring suburb and this did cause some issues with schooling for my 6 y/o but we moved to a 2nd local school and all is great.
Like most suburbs there are good and bad areas but the people you meet running shops, servos, shopping centres are really nice and friendly. Youth in the area seem to wanting more to do as they can disturb night silence but again this doesn’t occur on a regular basis.
Compared to Sydney’s West the move was excellent, the personalities of the locals is friendly, the atmosphere is welcoming.
Who lives here?
- Families with kids
Thinking of moving up from sydneys west, what was the school you had problems with and where would you recomend for primary school aged kids? dont know the area up there at all. looking at buying in watanobbi..
My dad is a casual teach for primary school, Wyong Grove and Tacoma Public are both small very good schools, Wyong Public is a NO NO!!!
looking at property on forster ave, do you know what the area there is like, seemed ok when we had a look??
Forster Ave is a road that links the older part with the newer part. That is an OK street to purchase as long as the surrounding homes look OK (eg. no rubbish lying around). In the older part there is still a few bad houses but they are evident from rubbish on lawns etc.
Looking at areas all around the Central Coast, Watanobi has some really affordable Homes, i am from sydney's south west, so i think How bad can it be ? compared to here in the Liverpool area, seriously?
Great review! We are looking at watanobi road.. is that one of the not so good areas? Cheers
Sounds like you made a smart move. The outer west is a difficult place to live and you're closer to the beach where you are too!
