I live near Amstel which is a big pub with a lot to offer locals. Nothing better than a massive tasty meal and a cold beer, under the festoon lighting in the beer garden, chatting to mates and locals alike. Made a few friends on a warm summer’s arvo with some good light-hearted laughs. Also an easy walk to Woolies, servo, fast food, cafes and parks. The nightlife may not be as bustling as what the city has to offer, but it does pretty darn good job. There’s a cider house and several other bars, restaurants and pubs here too. Lots of friendly people. Everything I need is right here.
