Upwey is a very inviting town. It has a fantastic village feel with a great sense of community involvement. It is so nice to still find a town in which people are happy to say hello and offer a smile as you pass them by. The local cafes are flourishing and an addition of a new country style bakery adds plenty. Also the thai restaurant is second to none. All is at easy reach- movies 3 mins away in Belgrave, great restaurants up the hill as well as the wonderful natural parks etc on your doorstep. We are a young couple and find the car ride into town quite reasonable due to the proximity to freeways etc. If your after a relaxed lifestyle with a little earthy/cosmopoliton feel then Upwey has much to offer.
