This ares of Altona North is definitely the lowest point. This is not safe for singles, and not preferred for raising young children. The streets are POORLY lit and when walking just as the sun sets, I feel unsafe. The most common people found in this area are new-Australians. This area is popular for Hoons, bored young people and very frightening (what seem to be) drug addicts. This area is always populated by rubbish or abandoned looking trucks or vans. While the rent is a tad cheaper down this end of Altona North, there is a reason! It is further from primary schools (closest 20min walk!!), shopping and some of the public transport. I have lived here for less than twelve mouths and I am getting out!! Not to mention, the amount of wild cats that populate!
